Liverpool
With the crucial player Liverpool “admire,” Manchester United is making the same Paul Pogba transfer error.

Marcus rashford is tinkering with a transfer, and manchester united are likely to lose another academy prodigy. at liverpool, the english forward would have thrived.
Liverpool provides treatment for its academy alums at Anfield. Trent Alexander-Arnold, a player from Merseyside, is currently regarded as one of Jürgen Klopp’s most significant figures.
Since his debut, the Scouse defender has developed to redefine the full-back position, and at only 23 years old, his growth is still far from complete.
Another person who has advanced from the ranks of youngsters in recent years is Curtis Jones. Although he hasn’t quite reached Alexander-level Arnold’s of performance just yet, the 21-year-old shows promise.
The same almost holds true for Harvey Elliott, who joined the Reds from Fulham in 2019 as a 16-year-old but has since developed into a first-team option. Caoimhin Kelleher also adheres to the theme.
In the future, Pep Lijnders, Klopp’s assistant, told the Mirror, “Academy and game-changers, that’s where we need to invest.” There must be room for talent and for our Academy to offer these young lads an opportunity to develop into game-changers. We must purchase premium and utilize the Academy.
Every time a prospect is deployed, they are given a role in the team that is specifically customized to them, with tactical elements that accentuate their strengths and hide their deficiencies.
Despite playing in a traditionally “defensive” position, Alexander-Arnold is encouraged to take chances, and Elliott has been used in midfield by Klopp despite having previously played as a forward so that he can identify his teammates’ quick and incisive moves ahead of him.
Along with being recognized and supported, Liverpool’s academy graduates also receive contracts as a result of excellent play; earlier this week, Elliott extended his stay on Merseyside until 2027.
Due to their lengthy contracts, players who don’t quite cut it at Liverpool can still command high transfer fees. In 2020, Sheffield United will pay £25 million to acquire Rhian Brewster.
In many ways, the Reds in this game are diametrically opposed to Manchester United, who are finding it difficult to compete with all of the Premier League’s top teams.
One of the most talented players to come out of the Old Trafford youth system is Marcus Rashford, but the city of Manchester’s continual upheaval has prevented him from reaching his full potential.
Jürgen Klopp would adore Rashford, and Liverpool are known to admire his profile (the MEN’s Samuel Luckhurst stated as much in March through Sports Illustrated). Considering his scoring record thus far, he is a homegrown player who is quick, direct, young, and experienced in the Premier League. However, United have not made the most of his skill set.
Although Manchester United won’t sell him this summer, Paris Saint-Germain is interested in his talents, and his contract is set to expire in a year.
Unless things drastically shift for United, which is precisely what Paul Pogba has done twice, Rashford will probably depart for free.
The Frenchman, another outstanding graduate of United’s youth, resigned when his deal ran out in 2012 and joined Juventus. Later, he rejoined for over £80 million in 2016, after which he left to rejoin Juventus this summer on a free transfer.
Over the past ten years, neither Pogba nor Rashford have profited from stability in Manchester, and by the next year, both players may have contracts with different teams.
In the end, if you’re a young player with a lot of potential, Anfield is where you belong instead of Old Trafford. Just ask Darwin Nez.
