The 22-year-old has undertaken a medical after agreeing terms to become Jurgen Klopp’s major summer signing, with an official unveiling expected imminently, but an interview with his former youth team coach Jose Perdomo reveals that a serious knee injury gave a 17-year-old Nunez serious doubts over whether he would make it at all.
