West Brom pack The Hawthorns for Preston North End Championship finale.

West Bromwich Albion have sold out of tickets for their final day encounter against Preston North End.

The Lilywhites will finish their 2023/24 season away to Albion. Ryan Lowe’s side plays at The Hawthorns on May 4 at 12:30pm. PNE will face Leicester City at home before match day 46 in the Midlands. And the Baggies have packed their 26,000-seater stadium for the arrival of North End, who have been granted 2,009 away tickets.

Preston are suffering from three consecutive defeats and have dropped out of the play-off picture. There is also added incentive for the Albion game, as Carlos Corberan’s club defeated PNE 0-4 at Deepdale in September. As things stand, West Brom’s play-off spot is not certain; Hull, Norwich, and Coventry could still overtake the Baggies.

However, the fifth-placed squad has been in the top six for the entirety of the season, and a win away to Sheffield Wednesday this weekend could be enough to secure a top-six finish. WBA has lost its last two games, against Leicester City and Sunderland. Prior to then, Corberan’s team had gone ten games without losing.
