BBC PUNDIT AMAZED BY TRANSFER RUMOURS INCLUDING ‘ARROGANT’ STAR AS JURGEN KLOPP CONSIDERS LOAN DEAL
Robbie Savage claims it would be ‘unbelievable’ for the English team if Kylian Mbappe left Paris Saint-Germain this summer to sign a loan contract with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
In light of a potential free transfer to Real Madrid the next summer, it appears that PSG has grown tired of its star player and is doing everything in their power to get rid of him this summer.
Numerous Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, have expressed interest in signing him, in addition to lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia.
Everything appears to be open for Kylian Mbappe, but Savage said he doesn’t see the France international joining Liverpool on loan, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport’s 606 in an interview.
Even if he helps you win the European Cup, a one-year loan agreement wouldn’t make sense for anyone because it would be such a short-term decision that would harm your long-term financial situation.
Savage presumably sees Mbappe staying at PSG this summer and then transferring to Madrid in a year for this reason.
Mbappe is rumored to be joining Liverpool on loan, according to Savage. “Really? Do you believe that might occur? To Liverpool, Mbappe? Do you believe he is capable of more?
“That would be unbelievable for Liverpool. Liverpool isn’t a Champions League participant. The Europa League includes them.
“I don’t think it will happen. Mbappe would at least like to play in the Champions League.
He was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. That didn’t happen. I think he will end up at Real Madrid.”
The Mbappe transfer saga
The only winners in this situation are probably going to be the player and Madrid. Mauricio Pochettino, the Chelsea manager who previously worked with the player in Paris, called him “arrogant” (The Athletic) for a cause, but in a positive sense.
He has a contract that PSG offered him, so if he honors it and quits after a year for no reason, he isn’t doing anything wrong and they only have themselves to blame if they have a problem with it.
By giving him so much money and authority, PSG unintentionally produced this monster.
