Two ‘sensational’ stars who the 49ers must select in the 2024 NFL Draft

The San Francisco 49ers had a fantastic season, but it ended in yet another agonizing way.

The Niners lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58 despite leading in overtime, and they had to watch as their rivals hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy and celebrated.

This is a familiar narrative, that’s for sure. In the previous five Super Bowls, the Niners have fallen short against the Chiefs twice.

Many players on the roster and supporters of the team might reflect heavily throughout the offseason on why San Francisco lost and what could have been done to stop Patrick Mahomes from guiding the Chiefs to victory.

However, head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch of San Francisco cannot afford to turn back the clock.

The league year, which begins on March 13, will allow the Niners and the other thirty-one teams to bolster their rosters through free agency. The 2024 season is drawing around quickly.

The Niners’ management will undoubtedly want to make changes in this area, but only if doing so makes sense financially and on the field.viewpoint and sound financial judgment.

With well-known players at key skill positions, the Niners are undoubtedly among the league’s best teams.

Commence with quarterback Brock Purdy, who, after just two years after being the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has become one of the league’s best quarterbacks.

Christian McCaffrey, the top running back in the NFL, was traded to the 49ers midway through the 2022 season, and he has flourished ever since. McCaffrey had the most rushing yards (1,459 yards) and touchdowns (14) in the league. In addition, he hauled in 67 passes for 564 yards and 7 touchdowns.

It is unlikely that any NFL running back will produce as much as McCaffrey has combined.

Samuel, Aiyuk and Kittle are a dynamic Niner trio

Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk together provided the Niners with a potent one-two punch at wide receiver. George Kittle, an NFL tight end, is also among the finest at his position.

Despite having persistent injuries that hindered him the entire season, Samuel caught 60 catches for 892 yards and 7 touchdowns. He has an opportunity to prove that he is among the NFL’s top run after the catch receivers if he can maintain his health for the entire campaign.

The 49ers will be aiming to bolster themselves in the upcoming draft even if they might not be very active at these positions in free agency.

The players Chop Robinson of Penn State and Ricardo Hallman of Wisconsin seem like sneaky decent players who should be on Lynch’s radar. They both seem like dynamic defensive players.

LB-DE Chop Robinson, Penn State

The defensive end/linebacker hybrid seems to have what it takes to develop into a reliable pass rusher in the National Football League.

During his two seasons with the Nittany Lions, Robinson established himself as a standout player on Penn State’s exceptional defensive squad. Prior to going to Penn State, he played for Maryland during his freshman year.

With 5.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss in 2022, Robinson had a strong performance. The previous season, he had 4.0 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles.

At 6-3 and 240 pounds, he seems to have the build to put on additional muscle and strength. Robinson seems to be a good match for the Niners’ system if they’re searching for an edge rusher who can provide more pressure.

CB Ricardo Hallman, Wisconsin

Hallman only participated in one game for the Badgers in 2021, but he participated in ten games in 2022 to get some experience. Even though he didn’t contribute much statistically that season, he became familiar with the Badgers’ setup, which helped him have a great 2023 campaign.

Among his seven interceptions, Hallman had one that he successfully returned for a touchdown. In addition, he had five passes defensed and 34 tackles.

The cornerback is quick enough to keep up with wideouts who move more quickly and is aware of how receivers want to attack. His confidence and aggressiveness will be useful at a higher level.
