Still interested in Bayern Munich midfielder, Jurgen Klopp

According to one rumor, Ryan Gravenberch is still a potential target for Liverpool this summer. Jurgen Klopp is reportedly particularly interested in the midfielder.

The 21-year-old midfielder from Bayern Munich was one of Liverpool’s top transfer targets earlier this summer, but links have since cooled as Romeo Lavia and Andre Trindade have gained more attention in recent weeks.

Sport Bild, however, asserts that Klopp still has a soft spot for Bayern’s Dutch midfielder, who had a lackluster debut season in the Bundesliga.

According to the German publication’s podcast, Bayern Insider, Klopp is interested in Gravenberch and thinks he can assist the former Ajax star succeed at Anfield.

According to reports, Bayern’s willingness to sell is yet unknown, but Gravenberch’s lack of consistent playing time may pave the way for a transfer.

Liverpool obviously needs to strengthen their midfield. The Reds still lack bodies in the middle of the field despite the additions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, having already lost Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and Arthur Melo this summer.

Anfield Watch reported on Friday that the Reds are considering a move for Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and the club are also looking into a move for €30m-rated Andre – though he is seen as a possible replacement for Thiago. Meanwhile, a third (and final) bid for Lavia is expected in the coming days.
