Shrewsbury town in fight with Dundee United over Boston Star

According to reporter Pete O’Rourke, Shrewsbury Town and Dundee United are among the clubs interested in signing Boston United’s out-of-contract striker Jai Rowe.

Shrewsbury Town have yet to confirm their League One status. They are 18th in the third-tier table with four games remaining, and six points separate them from the relegation zone.

Paul Hurst and his team will be hoping to avoid relegation, and those behind the scenes will already be looking for potential signings ahead of the summer transfer window.

Rumours of interest in a potential target have arisen.

According to X reporter Pete O’Rourke, Shrewsbury Town is one of the clubs interested in right-back Jai Rowe, who now plays for Boston United in the National League North. His contract is up this summer, so he could be available for free.

Dundee United is the only other team cited by O’Rourke, but’several clubs’ are reportedly interested in Rowe.

Ready for a return?

Rowe has Football League experience, despite the fact that he is now playing further down the ladder for Boston United. He played more than four years at Scunthorpe United, appearing in 64 League Two games.

Rowe, on the other hand, has emerged as an outstanding sixth-tier performer with Boston and appears to be poised for a promotion. It could out to be a very wise signing for Shrewsbury Town.

Dundee United and other clubs have expressed interest in his services, therefore he will most certainly face competition. Time will tell who else enters the race, but with his contract expiring, Rowe might be one of the smartest moves made by an EFL club in the forthcoming transfer window.
