Mo Salah and Naby Keita nominated for African Men’s Player of the Year award

The Reds duo was listed among the 30 contenders on the list that the Confederation of African Football unveiled on Thursday.
Salah played 51 times for Liverpool last season, making 31 goals and 16 assists. In February, he led Egypt to the Africa Cup of Nations final.
He earned the Premier League’s Golden Boot and Playmaker of the Season awards as well as the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year and Footballer of the Year awards from the Professional Footballers’ Association and Football Writers’ Association, respectively.
As Liverpool won the Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup trophies, advanced to the Champions League final, and finished second in the Premier League, Keita made 40 appearances in the meantime.
Former Red Sadio Mane, who last week moved to Bayern Munich, is also shortlisted
