Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita of Liverpool have both been put forward for the 2022 African Men’s Player of the Year honor.

The Reds duo was listed among the 30 contenders on the list that the Confederation of African Football unveiled on Thursday.

He earned the Premier League’s Golden Boot and Playmaker of the Season awards as well as the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year and Footballer of the Year awards from the Professional Footballers’ Association and Football Writers’ Association, respectively.

As Liverpool won the Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup trophies, advanced to the Champions League final, and finished second in the Premier League, Keita made 40 appearances in the meantime.
