According to sources who spoke to ESPN, Sadio Mane and Bayern Munich have come to terms to end his six-year stay at Anfield.

Since striker Darwin Nunez joined the Premier League team from Benfica in a club-record deal worth up to €100 million, the Senegal international’s future at Liverpool had been in grave question.

According to a source with knowledge of the issue, Liverpool and the Bundesliga champions have reached an agreement on a fee totaling €41 million ($42.9 million).

Because he was not permitted to discuss specifics of the agreement, which has not yet been consummated, the person talked to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.

Mane will cost Liverpool €32 million ($33.5 million), with an additional €6 million ($6.3 million) coming when he fulfills an appearance clause and an additional €3 million ($3.15 million) dependent on individual and team accomplishments.

Mane moved to Liverpool from Southampton in 2016, joining the team within the first year of manager Jurgen Klopp’s tenure. Mane was instrumental in the club’s ascent to the top of English football, winning the Champions League in 2019 and helping the team snap its 30-year title drought in 2020.

During his career at Liverpool, he scored 120 goals in 269 games across all competitions, helping him win the Club World Cup (2019), FA Cup (2022), and Carabao Cup (2022).

Mohamed Salah announced last month that he will stay at Liverpool for the 2022–23 season, despite their being rumors all season long that he might also leave this summer.
