Real Madrid are due to sign the Liverpool hero this summer

Real Madrid fans saw their side eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Manchester City. The elimination wasn’t as disappointing as it was. The Blancos were played out of the park in the second leg and lost 4-0. And the scoreline could have been much worse, had it not been for Thibaut Courtois’ heroism in goal.
For most, the elimination shouldn’t have come as a huge surprise. We’ve seen this side battle throughout the season.
They may have won the Copa del Rey, but they haven’t even come close to competing with Barcelona for La Liga, dropping points left, right and centre. And away to Manchester it became clear that at the moment they were nowhere near as good as Pep Guardiola’s side.
The thing is, Real Madrid simply don’t have the depth to consistently compete with the best teams in the world right now. The good news is that there appears to be a huge opportunity to rally this summer. It’s not often that world-class players become available as free players. But as reported by Liverpool’s official website, Roberto Firmino will leave the club after his contract expires this summer.
Firmino is a great player and has been key to the success Liverpool have had in recent years under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp. He pursues not only goals but also the ability to improve those around him. It’s one of the main reasons duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have been so prolific for The Reds. Real Madrid could definitely use more options up front. And in that regard, there may not be a better player than Firmino this summer.

Real Madrid were hit hard by Manchester City when they were eliminated in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw, suggesting the second leg would also be a close battle. Yet, it was anything but. The Blancos were completely defeated that night.
Bernardo Silva scored twice, while Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez each scored once, ending Real Madrid’s 15 Champions League hopes. No one in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad would have been successful except Thibaut Courtois, based on his performance against Manchester City.
This draw also showed how far Manchester City are in terms of squad depth. And it seems that one of their players has caught the attention of Real Madrid. As Fichajes report, Real Madrid have Alvarez in their sights. His transfer value is estimated at around 50 million euros.
Alvarez is undoubtedly a fantastic talent. Although he may not be a regular in the starting XI at Manchester City, he has produced some brilliant performances during his time at the club.
Alvarez, on the other hand, was outstanding at the World Cup as Argentina won the competition for the third time in their history. Most fans think you deserve more time to play.
The problem is that Manchester City have Erling Haaland up front. As a result, playing time should also be limited for Alvarez. Could this open the door to a potential transfer exit? Several clubs would be interested. Only time will tell. But at this point you wouldn’t expect Manchester City to release a talent like Alvarez. Especially after his short spell at the club.
