QPR is interested in Beerschot winger Thibaud Verlinden, according to Dutch news agency GVA.

QPR have been linked with a move for the attacker ahead of the summer.

Verlinden, 24, has 10 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions this season, along with five assists.

According to GVA, the Hoops, Schalke, and Royle Union Saint-Gilloise are all interested in signing him.

QPR may see Verlinden as someone to improve their attacking squad ahead of the next season.

The R’s have secured their championship status and will now have a busy summer as Marti Cifuentes seeks to bolster their ranks.

Verlinden is under contract with Beerschot until 2025, so they are not under any rush to sell him right away and may wait for the perfect offer in the next transfer window.

He joined them in 2022 and has since become one of their most valuable assets.

The former Belgian youth international began his career in the academies of Club Brugge and Standard Liege before traveling to England as a youngster to join Stoke City.

Verlinden went on to play 13 appearances for the Potters, as well as loan spells at FC St Pauli and Bolton Wanderers, to gain experience before leaving the Bet365 Stadium permanently.

He has since spent time with Fortuna Sittard in Holland and FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda in Slovakia before joining his current club, and he hasn’t looked back.

QPR may potentially provide him a path back into the Football League as they seek to add more quality to their squad.

The Hoops triumphed 4-0 at home against Leeds United last time out and will travel to Coventry City this weekend.
