Origi joins Italian Seria A club after Liverpool exit

After being fired by Liverpool at the conclusion of the last campaign, Divock Origi signed with AC Milan on Tuesday.
Origi, a 27-year-old international from Belgium, has signed with Milan as a free agent after having his contract registered with the Italian top division, however the club has not yet made the announcement.
Origi joins the Serie A team despite not participating in enough games for Liverpool to extend his contract.
According to reports, he has signed a four-year contract worth $4.23 million ($4 million) per season.
He had a little role at Liverpool but scored important goals throughout his eight years on Merseyside, earning the admiration of both supporters and manager Jurgen Klopp.
Two of the goals came during an incredible comeback against Barcelona in the 2019 Champions League semifinals, while the other came against Tottenham in the final as Liverpool won their sixth European Cup.
Origi made 176 appearances for the Reds after arriving in 2014, scoring 41 times. He has been capped 32 times for his country, but all three of his international goals came in 2014.
Milan have brought in Origi to bolster a forward line which struggled for goals despite winning last season’s thrilling Serie A title race.
