Ten Hag is rumored to be eager to sign the Ajax winger before the transfer window ends, and Crook insists he wants a move even though it currently appears to be very difficult.

What is the most recent information on Antony?

The MailOnline reports that the new boss of United is considering bringing Antony to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian international is wanted by Ajax for £84 million, according to the publication, but the Dutch club is adamant about keeping hold of him.

Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Antony’s former Ajax teammate Lisandro Martinez have all been acquired by United so far this summer, but it is obvious that Ten Hag is not content with those signings and wants to make further deals.

The Dutchman’s plan appears to include capturing an assailant, but getting Antony through the door appears to be incredibly challenging.

What did Crook say to United regarding Antony?

While Crook claims Ajax are not under any pressure to sell after already making money off of Martinez and Sebastien Haller, Ten Hag and Antony are both eager for a reunion.

The talkSPORT reporter told GIVEMESPORT that it was currently 50/50. Ten Hag has a keen eye. The player wants to move, but Ajax are in a good position because they have already made money off of the sales of Martinez and Haller, so they don’t have to sell him for a low price.

Are United’s attacking alternatives sufficient going into the new campaign?

If United are unable to sign Antony during this transfer window, it is most likely not the end of the world. The Red Devils still have a number of excellent offensive alternatives.

Forwards like Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Cristiano Ronaldo are all dangerous, and Anthony Elanga, a teenager, had a lot of promise last season by scoring twice in the Premier League and once in the Champions League.

Ten Hag will have a dangerous frontline if Rashford and Martial can regain their best form and Ronaldo stays at Old Trafford.

It seems as though the 52-year-old would adore signing Antony. However, £84 million is an incredible sum of money for a player who has done little outside of the Eredivisie, and United already has some, to put it mildly, quality strikers.
