Manchester United reportedly steps ahead Chelsea and Real Madrid in the race to sign Benjamin Sesko, valued at €50 million by Red Bull Salzburg

Following his breakout season with Red Bull Salzburg in 2021/22, Benjamin Sesko has emerged as one of the market’s hottest commodities. The Austrian club has slowly elevated the 19-year-old, and he is set to be their first-choice striker during the 2022–23 season.
Sesko has had a solid start to the new season, tallying two goals and one assist in his first three games. Unsurprisingly, the Slovenian international has caught the attention of numerous prestigious European clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Chelsea.
The fact that Karim Benzema is getting older is what Real Madrid is interested in. The fact that the French international is far into his 30s and still going strong forces Real Madrid to create a succession plan for him. As a result, Sesko has become a realistic target for Los Blancos, with the Santiago Bernabeu being his favourite location.

The long-term future of Cristiano Ronaldo is a concern for Manchester United, as the Portuguese international is eager to sign with a team competing in the UEFA Champions League. Red Bull Salzburg, an Austrian club, has demanded €50 million from the Premier League heavyweights in negotiations for Sesko.
Chelsea just entered the battle to sign Sesko, and this week, owner Todd Boehly personally began negotiations with the player’s agents. Romelu Lukaku has not yet been replaced by a player signed by the Blues. Additionally, the west London team will need to sign a striker, with Sesko being a viable option given Timo Werner’s unclear future at Chelsea. Ok
Manchester United is “best situated” to sign the 19-year-old this summer, leaving Real Madrid and Chelsea in the dust in the battle to sign him. Sesko should be acquired by Manchester United, probably for around €50 million, because Real Madrid would like for him to join another club before moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.
