Manchester United Make Decision On Stockport Player

Man United defender  is well-regarded in the club’s academy and joined Stockport County on loan in January, and the Reds have made a decision on his immediate future

Rhys Bennett, a young player for Manchester United, participated in Monday night’s academy match against Brighton but has not been called back from his Stockport County loan.

In the January transfer window, Bennett completed a loan contract with Stockport, where he will play his remaining games at Edgeley Park to further his development.

Bennett may have been called up, though, as there was some misunderstanding on Monday when he made his Under-21 debut for United against Brighton at Leigh Sports Village.

Bennett hasn’t been called up, as far as The Manchester Evening News is aware, and both teams agreed he may play in that academy game to get crucial minutes.

Bennett has only made three appearances in the Stockport matchday squad since joining on loan, and his lone start came in a 4-0 loss to Tranmere.

Bennett is a’very pleasant individual around the camp’, according to insiders at Stockport, and he has been praised for his’very good attitude’ despite not playing.

This season, Stockport is predicted to win League Two. As of right now, they lead Hollywood-owned Wrexham, who are in second place, by four points.

Bennett’s loan at Stockport hasn’t gone as well as anticipated, but maybe his education has benefited from spending months with a title-challenging team.

Bennett scored the first goal of the FA Youth Cup final at Old Trafford against Nottingham Forest while leading the Under-18 team that won the competition in 2021–2022.

Although he hasn’t made his senior United debut yet, he did start on the bench in the FA Cup against Wigan Athletic and the Premier League match against West Ham before to Christmas.

Bennett played for United in their preseason opener against Leeds in Oslo after agreeing to a new contract with the team in the summer.
