The star of Manchester City and the England national team, Kyle Walker, has thanked Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, on the job he has done at Anfield over his career.

After announcing earlier this year that he was leaving Liverpool after nine years with the team, the renowned and famous German coach will conclude his Premier League career this summer.

During his tenure at Liverpool, Klopp and his teams have taken home nearly every trophy in the book, including the Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

During that time, Manchester City and Liverpool have developed a unique rivalry in domestic competition. The players of the latter team have also faced off twice in European competition and have acknowledged the challenge that has been presented to them.

Recalling the rivalry that has developed over the seasons between Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, Kyle Walker, the captain of Etihad, congratulated the Anfield maestro via the official club

It’s been a unique and delightful rivalry, Walker remarked. “I have to say enormous kudos for what he’s done (Jurgen Klopp) when you have two teams fighting for the top—we’ve had some wonderful games over the last number of years.”

Walker went on to talk about some of the struggles the two teams have faced over the years, using the most recent Premier League 1-1 tie at Anfield as an example. “In all these big games, it’s like a chess match,” Walker remarked.

They take the advantage in some places, and you take the advantage in some. When these two teams compete, it’s undoubtedly a fantastic sight and a nice game for the neutrals. We’ll take the point now and go on, but we came here to get the three points.

Walker went on to ManCity.com, “What he’s (Pep Guardiola) done and the clubs he’s managed and the players he’s been able to coach, he’s nothing short of being a genius.” “We just need to carry out the plan; it ultimately comes down to the work ethic he puts into the matches, the training sessions, and the detail.”

This Saturday, when Manchester City plays Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium in the FA Cup quarterfinals, Kyle Walker and his colleagues will try to extend their historic Treble.
