Man United sets transfer fee at Cristino Ronaldo demand, offer from various clubs

The player wants a price tag from a team eager to make a move happen this summer, but Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo are working to find a solution for the player’s future.

After less than a year at Old Trafford, the Portuguese star wants to leave, and last week, upon his return to Carrington, he held confrontational conversations with United executives, including Sir Alex Ferguson, through his representatives. Ronaldo is currently looking for a solution to his future after missing the team’s preseason tour.

He wants out, but United has thus far been steadfast in their position that he is not for sale. The Sun claims that his representative, Jorge Mendes, has told them that he has a buyer but that he must first know the club’s asking price in order to proceed with discussions.

Because to Cristiano Ronaldo’s “great dream,” Man Utd managers won’t be intimidated by hollow threats.

United has declined to provide a price and has insisted that they anticipate Ronaldo to complete the remaining 12 months of his contract. After hiring Erik ten Hag, the team is in the midst of a reconstruction, and both the new coach and their No. 7 want him to be a part of it.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner hasn’t participated in season preparations thus far. Mendes is still looking for destinations for his client, therefore any prospective buyer is unknown. Only a select few clubs will contemplate moving a player who is 37 and has high wage demands.

With new owner Todd Boehly looking to make a statement signing, Chelsea was one of the first teams to be mentioned. Thomas Tuchel, though, was not a fan of Ronaldo moving to Stamford Bridge. Although Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have been mentioned as potential sites, the club executives for both organizations have disassociated themselves from the agreement.

While a return to Sporting Lisbon has been suggested, Ronaldo might have another chance to play in Serie A with Napoli. No one knows if Ronaldo will be available for selection or even at the club when United play their season opener against Brighton and Hove Albion.
