Man City boss Pep Guardiola says he disagrees with Mikel Arteta over Andy Robertson crash

After his comments about Andrew Robertson and ‘elbowgate’, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admitted he disagreed with Arsenal nemesis Mikel Arteta. Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola appear to be at odds after the latter admitted he did not watch Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday. Andrew Robertson’s controversial elbow injury, which was in stark contrast to Arteta, was not something the Manchester City manager said he had noticed.
During the half-time signal at Anfield, assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis appeared to elbow Robertson in the face, but Guardiola admitted he had not seen the occurrence.
Hatzidakis has been suspended by the FA as they investigate the matter, but Guardiola has remained silent. Interestingly, when asked about the elbow incident at Anfield ahead of their Champions League encounter, Guardiola claimed he wasn’t even looking at Premier League title opponents Man City just over two weeks before their clash at the Etihad Stadium.
I’ve heard of it but haven’t seen it, he told reporters. I watched Golf and Bayern Munich. I saw the highlights later, but I didn’t live to see it.
“I can’t say anything because I haven’t seen the picture, although they told me something happened. But it’s strange. I was shocked when someone told me what happened.”
It’s an interesting contrast to Arteta, his former protégé and title challenger, who has publicly admitted to watching Manchester City from time to time.
Earlier in the month, Arteta commented: “Our focus every day is on what we can manage ourselves.
However, like any manager or team, we love watching football matches, so if we can, you can count on us to watch it too.
Despite playing one game more than the holders, Arsenal are six points clear of Man City in the top flight of the Premier League. Guardiola is aware that if they beat Arsenal at the Etihad and win the game they have left, City have a chance of winning a third successive league title.
It’s no wonder, then, that his main focus is on Tuesday’s Champions League game against FC Bayern Munich.
City are favorites to win the Premier League and Champions League and will be confident of reaching the FA Cup final against Sheffield United.
It looks like Guardiola will lead the team to the second treble in English football history, emulating Manchester United’s 1999 triumph if all goes to plan.

Hear is Jurgen Klopp’s answer when asked by a fan if Jude Bellingham will join Liverpool
Liverpool continue to chase Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham and one fan has taken matters into his own hands to find out the latest news
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s reaction was priceless when he ran into a fan asking if his club would sign Jude Bellingham.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is Liverpool’s main market target for the summer period. After a string of high-profile appearances in the Bundesliga, Champions League and international duty with England, the 19-year-old has become one of Europe’s most in-demand players.
Bellingham has also been linked with Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. Reds fans are clamoring for the signing of the midfielder, who has previously been compared to iconic captain Steven Gerrard. Before their enthralling 2-2 draw against Arsenal, the Liverpool squad embarked on a pre-match walk around the harbour. With eager fans waiting to get a glimpse of their heroes, one fan has been looking for an exclusive view of the Liverpool boss.

There is no audible reaction from Klopp, but the video continues to show the 55-year-old in high spirits after walking past.
Also in the video, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson are seen looking at the fan before turning to each other as the Liverpool skipper gives a wry smile.
“You’ve heard of Jude, that’s a different topic,” Klopp said earlier when asked about Bellingham. “It always makes things more difficult in general. We are still Liverpool, a big club. It’s not that we can’t do anything, we will have transfer problems.
“We have to do it, it’s 100 per cent clear that we have to make changes this summer, it’s clear that everyone knows it’s going to happen.
“In the end, how much? It’s not exactly in my hands what we can do, but we are in constant talks and everyone knows exactly what we need.”
