Liverpool set to break Chelsea’s heart to land a sensational midfielder which Jurgen Klopp approves

Liverpool is now the front runners who sign the midfielder of Brighton and Chelsea Target Alexis Mac Allister this summer, but the Reds still want to sign Mason Mount
The interest of Chelsea for Alexis Mac Allister has now cooled with Liverpool, now the clear front runners to sign the Brighton midfielder, Calcio.London understands.
As reported last month, the blues are interested in the winner of the World Cup in Argentina, but this has cooled in recent weeks with Liverpool who has chased the midfielder. It remains understood and reported elsewhere that the Reds Mac Allister has made one of their midfield priorities for the summer transfer window and the club is convinced that they can get its signature.
In this season, Chelsea is very impressed by the development of Mac Allister in Brighton. The midfielder was one of the key figures for seagulls in what seems like a record season for them and also seemed to be in their success of the World Cup on the back of 2022 in the success of the World Championship. Mac Allister wants to leave Brighton this summer, reports football.london, despite the club’s success this season. Despite strong interest from Chelsea, it appears the Argentinian will swap the Amex Stadium for Anfield instead of Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool’s interest in Mac Allister will also have no impact on Chelsea’s Mason Mount hunt. The Reds are still trying to capitalize on the uncertainty over the England international’s future in west London, with just over 12 months left on his contract.
Mount and Chelsea recently reopened talks to extend his stay, but at the time of writing there are no indications that anything has changed. Before talks resumed, the two sides were far from finding a suitable contract offer, raising serious questions about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool remain interested in Mount and Anfield remain a real possibility for the midfielder this summer if ongoing negotiations fail. There is also a school of thought that Mount is waiting to see who the new head coach will be before making a final decision on his future.
That appears to be Mauricio Pochettino, who is said to be a great admirer of Monte. At the moment, Mount are looking for more money than Chelsea are willing to offer, but that could change depending on Pochettino’s stance on the 24-year-old.
When summer rolls around and nothing is resolved, Football.london realizes Chelsea would like something in the region of £70m for the midfielder’s services. However, Liverpool would certainly try to lower that price due to the midfielder’s contract situation and could call Chelsea’s bluff with the Blues, knowing they stand to lose him on a free transfer in just over 12 months.

The latest update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister
Liverpool have their foot firmly on the accelerator and continue their quest to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion this summer. Jurgen Klopp is determined to strengthen his midfield during the transfer window and the world champion is one of the club’s priority targets.
With talks with Jude Bellingham cut short due to his steep price tag, the Reds have turned their interest to other areas and are keen to get a deal for Mac Allister through the line. Based on a recent update from Football Insider, Klopp and co may have made a huge step in their husband’s direction.
Jurgen Klopp says what is ‘great news’ for Liverpool this week
The report claims Liverpool have made the 24-year-old a mega-money offer that would see his weekly wages tripled should he and Brighton accept the offer. The proposition in question is a £150,000-a-week contract – Mac Allister’s current deal with Brighton sees him earning £50,000 a week, according to Spotrac.
If Liverpool sign the Argentine under this deal, they would earn the same amount as Alisson, and more than Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez, who both earn £140,000 a week on their current contracts.
Klopp has identified his engine room as the main cause for concern with the transfer window and there are plans to correct these issues. Several starts at Anfield are already on the agenda, including Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner, who has been linked to go in the opposite direction to Mac Allister and join Brighton.
