After coming close to winning the Premier League and the Champions League last season, Liverpool will soon begin their preseason and will be seeking to build on their domestic double.

Liverpool won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup last season despite being in contention for an unprecedented quadruple and coming in second in the Premier League and Champions League. And Klopp was questioned about whether he thought they would be a contender again the following season upon arriving in Thailand for the preseason tour.

In advance of the new season, Jurgen Klopp has issued a warning to his Liverpool players.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has issued a warning to his team regarding the lineups he will use this coming season.

Sadio Mane, Divock Origi, and Takumi Minamino all left the Reds during the summer transfer window, which resulted in significant changes for the team. These departures have been partially compensated by Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho, and Calvin Ramsay.

And Klopp was questioned about whether he thought they would be a contender again the following season upon arriving in Thailand for the preseason tour.

Following the club-record £85 million acquisition of Nunez up front, Klopp also addressed the topic of team selection while adamantly stating that nothing had been decided yet. Added him: “No one has previously decided where each team will play.

“The boys are going to exert pressure, which is crucial. We will also have five substitutes in the Premier League going forward; we must adjust to this. I’m eagerly anticipating it.

“There are never guarantees in football, but I’d say there’s a decent possibility we’ll have another successful season.”

Tuesday’s match against Manchester United kicks off Liverpool’s preseason schedule. Thereafter, the Reds will play Crystal Palace, RB Leipzig, and Red Bull Salzburg.

On July 30, they will play Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley, and before the start of the season, they will play Strasbourg at Anfield in another friendly. On August 6, the Reds take on Fulham in the Premier League opener for both teams.
