Liverpool is reportedly making a serious push to sign a star for between £70 and £80 million.

Attacker from Brazil, Antony

The future of Brazilian international Antony is uncertain, and Liverpool is once more keeping an eye on him.
The Merseysiders are interested in signing the Ajax winger during the summer transfer window, according to a May UOL report.
The 22-year-old is primarily associated with Manchester United since, last season, when playing for the club’s new Old Trafford manager, Erik ten Hag, he made a significant impression.
According to a recent report by renowned journalist Jorge Nicola on Yahoo, Liverpool has reportedly made a serious bid and is still in contact with the Eredivisie team about signing the Selecao attacker.
Sao Paulo sold Antony to the Netherlands giants in 2020, and according to Nicola, the South American club is entitled to 20 percent of the proceeds from any further sales of the player.
The Dutch champs want to sell their treasured possession for a huge sum as a result. According to The Telegraph, Ajax is asking for between £70 million and £80 million for the Samba star, whose contract expires in 2025.
In addition to scoring 12 goals throughout all competitions while playing for Ten Hag’s Ajax, Antony won the Eredivisie title last season.
For Manchester United, the asking price has thus far proven to be prohibitive, and Liverpool may experience the same problem.
The Reds just extended their contract with their first-choice right winger, Mohamed Salah, so I don’t think it’s realistic that they’ll spend a further £70-£80 million to recruit Antony, who primarily plays on the right side
Still, Anfield boss, Jurgen Klopp, does need to lure a versatile winger as he lacks depth in the wide offensive areas.
