Liverpool  injury update: Mo Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Szoboszlai

Due to weariness and muscular problems, respectively, neither Salah nor Nunez made the midweek matchday roster, and Szoboszlai hasn’t played since Chelsea’s 4-1 victory.

All eyes were focused on their availability for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley against Chelsea, as there was little reason for hope following Jurgen Klopp’s update prior to the Luton victory.

It was now the responsibility of assistant manager Pep Lijnders to provide the most recent information on the Reds’ prospects of making it to the championship, along with an update on Dominik Szoboszlai, as there were just two days until their next game.

“Dom, Darwin, and Mo, we really need to see. We have two more days left,” he stated. Thus, the sessions of today and tomorrow. We’ll see whether they’re able to attend.

To be honest, that would be fantastic!

The injury list claimed one player after another amid a busy fixture list, leaving Liverpool without 11 senior players against Luton.

On Wednesday, the attacking line consisted of Harvey Elliott, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo; however, goals from all three provide a welcome confidence boost.

Alisson (hamstring), Thiago (hamstring), Curtis Jones (ankle), and Diogo Jota (knee) have lately joined the long-term absentees Joel Matip (ACL), Stefan Bajcetic (growing pains), and Ben Doak (MCL).

Lijnders offered Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Jones a return for “after the international break,” but this was far from ideal because there were important games left in every competition.
