Liverpool
Liverpool injury news: Six injured players from Liverpool, including Thiago and Diogo Jota, have set return dates.

Darwin Nunez remains suspended and will not be available for selection until next weekend’s Merseyside derby. But Ibrahim Konate, Calvin Ramsay and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are nowhere near returning to full fitness and being available for Klopp.
The Liverpool boss is unlikely to make many changes against Bournemouth, largely due to his limited options. Klopp only used three of his five substitutions against United, with Adrian, Bobby Clark, Stefan Bajcectic, Nat Phillips, Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Davies all remaining on the bench.
Joel Matip
The Cameroonian is recovering from a groin injury he sustained earlier this month and missed Liverpool’s last two games. Klopp confirmed that the Bournemouth game would come too soon for Matip, but he could qualify for Newcastle next week.
The Liverpool boss said Matip will likely return with the Reds to play twice in the same week.
Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones would probably have taken huge minutes due to Liverpool’s injury problems in midfield if he hadn’t solved his own problem. Jones suffered a calf injury after coming off the Community Shield bench and is yet to feature in the Premier League this season.
But Klopp also told Friday’s press conference that Jones should be able to join Matip and be available again from next week.
But he will be available again much sooner as Klopp confirms the keeper ‘will be in training next week’.
Diogo Jota
Diogo Jota has been unavailable since suffering a hamstring injury last month in pre-season. The Portuguese star gives Klopp another option in attack when fit and has been a huge source of goals during his time at Anfield.
It may not be long before Klopp can recall Jota and be available, although the Liverpool boss has said the striker is ‘closer’.
Thiago Alcantara was arguably Liverpool’s biggest failure in midfield to date. The Spaniard often sets the tone for Klopp’s side in midfield, providing a reassuring presence while executing passes that no other midfielder can find.
He wasn’t expected to be back until mid-September, but Klopp said he was ‘not too far’ from a return.
Naby Keita
Naby Keita’s time at Anfield has been marred by injuries since switching to silver. He suffered another setback last week and Klopp admits Anfield medical staff are still unsure how long Keita will be out.
“Naby obviously won’t be ready for the weekend,” Klopp said. “We have yet to see exactly how long it will take. It’s a muscle [injury]. It’s not 100% clear yet, but he won’t be here next week.”
Caoimhin Kelleher
Adrian has been Alisson’s replacement choice so far this season but Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to fill the No.2 role when he returns. Kelleher played a big role in helping Liverpool win the Carabao Cup last season and will hope to be back between the posts when the Reds take on Derby in early November.
