The Reds have been criticised over their handling of Mohamed Salah’s contract as Jurgen klopp look for alternative

Despite the contract dispute, Liverpool already has a plan for Mohamed Salah

Liverpool has come under fire for their “unacceptable” choice to allow star player Mohamed Salah to begin his contract’s final year.

The Egyptian international’s current contract at Anfield expires next summer, and because Sadio Mane, another attacker, was in a similar situation, the club chose to make a profit now rather than take the chance of losing him for free later. Additionally, Jamie O’Hara, a talkSPORT analyst, criticized the Reds for how they handled the matter with Salah.

Jamie O’Hara has slammed Liverpool the situation surrounding Mohamed Salah’s contract at the club.

Salah and his representatives have not yet reached a deal to extend his stay at Anfield; the star is apparently looking for a hefty pay raise to sign. It means that when the Reds forward’s current contract expires in a year, he might wind up leaving the team for nothing, which O’Hara has called “unacceptable.”

And the talkSPORT pundit says Salah “cannot leave that football club on a free”.

Liverpool legend Phil Thompson contrasts Gerard Houllier’s transfer woes with Man United’s.

Mane’s big-game substitute is found by Klopp

It’s possible that Sadio Mane’s replacement for important games has already been chosen by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

The striker signed a £35.1 million deal to join Bayern Munich earlier this month, and the Reds have already replaced him in Klopp’s squad with Uruguayan attacker Darwin Nunez. The forward will need to put in a lot of effort to persuade his new manager that he can count on him when the going gets tough despite having cost the Anfield club a record £80 million.

And Klopp’s last season’s deployment of Diogo Jota may already have provided a hint as to who he could turn to for the pivotal games.
