Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team have their eyes on new midfielders – but Liverpool will face competition from Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister

Liverpool may not have everything on their own terms when it comes to chasing Alexis Mac Allister this summer – but signing the playmaker from Brighton and two other top players will help manager Jurgen Klopp piece together his dream roster for next season.

After Liverpool suspended plans to target Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham when the market reopens due to the financial costs involved, the focus will instead be on budget allocation. It propelled Mac Allister to the top despite reports he could potentially repay the Reds £70million.

Brighton’s impressive performances this season saw the Argentina playmaker’s value skyrocket and then came that legendary World Cup triumph which propelled him further onto the world stage. Therefore,

Liverpool have no chance of having a free hand with their coveted signing. As reported, ECHO has learned that Manchester City and Manchester United are also keen to sign Mac Allister, while Klopp and his recruiting team have already identified the 24-year-old as a key target.

If their man signs on the dotted line, Liverpool will deem it worth the wait (or pay), but his future arrival will not spell the end of their summer activity. Other midfielders are on the radar – including Mason Mount and Ryan Gravenberch during his fight with Bayern Munich – while defensive additions aren’t out of the question.

Of course, there are many important details that need to be ironed out before anything concrete happens. However, in the dream scenario that Mac Allister, Ajax defender Jurrien Timber and Mount play at Anfield for next season, Klopp can really start putting together another mouth-watering starting eleven to compete in the top flight of the Premier League

Here’s a look at one possible line-up for Klopp and Liverpool to jot down…

Liverpool’s dream line-up (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Timber, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Fabinho, Mount; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.

Reports: Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool – transfer fee, contract length and wages

Reliable media in his native Argentina have reported details of Alexis Mac Allister’s contract with Liverpool including fees, salary and contract length.

The World Cup-winning midfielder has sparked a lot of speculation ahead of the next transfer window as Jurgen Klopp plans an overhaul of his midfield options.

Mac Allister’s current contract with the Seagulls runs until the summer of 2025, but it is increasingly likely that he will play his football outside of the AMEX next season.

According to information from Argentine newspaper ‘La Nacion’, the 24-year-old will receive around £60m and a weekly salary of £100,000 on a five-year contract.

The deal would also include an option for a one-year extension, making Mac Allister the fourth most expensive Argentine transfer ever. This comes just days after TyC Sports reported that a deal to bring the World Cup winner to Anfield was “already done”.

Mac Allister’s agent and father said last month the midfielder would “most likely” leave Brighton this summer, with Liverpool’s interest becoming increasingly apparent in subsequent reports.

Chelsea are also rumored to be among the clubs interested in a transfer of the midfielder, with the Reds likely to beat some of their Premier League rivals in the signing of him.

Liverpool appear confident of signing several high-profile midfielders for the club this summer after the departures of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita were confirmed last week.

There are also question marks over the fitness and age of a number of midfielders who will remain at the club next season.

Currently, Liverpool’s midfield squad consists of Jordan Henderson (32), Thiago (32), Fabinho (29), Curtis Jones (22), Harvey Elliott (20) and Stefan Bajcetic (18). best years. Mac Allister looks set to be a key target for Klopp’s mid-park rebuild, with the likes of Mason Mount, Ryan Gravenberch and Matheus Nunes all linked with a move to Anfield.

The Reds are hoping to bring in possible new signings as the season draws to a close to facilitate squad integration during pre-season.
