Liverpool double injury blow could be decisive setback for the club

Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace in Singapore to cap up their South-East Asian tour, but the victory came at a cost as two players were sidelined with injuries.
Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace easily in Singapore to cap off their preseason schedule in South-East Asia.
Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah scored goals to give Jürgen Klopp’s team a win that was essentially a by-the-numbers triumph despite the oppressive heat and oppressive humidity.
In the end, it doesn’t really matter how it turns out; what matters is that players use their legs and regain their match fitness.
At halftime, Klopp made a number of adjustments, essentially fielding two distinct teams. However, he was obliged to replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a £35 million player, three minutes before the first half’s end, which was earlier than he would have preferred.
Near the end of the first 45 minutes, Oxlade-Chamberlain
Jota, who was benched by Klopp during the conclusion of the previous season, is competing for a spot in the first team, much like Oxlade-Chamberlain. Places in the starting XI are currently in high demand due to the additions of Luis Dáz, Darwin Néz, and Harvey Elliott.
With fierce competition, any extended absence from the first team will work against Jota. The former Wolves player doesn’t need this setback at all.
With the way the club’s trip to Asia has gone, Klopp will be pleased. Players gained playing time, as Liverpool played in front of adoring supporters in two stadiums that were completely sold out. He won’t, however, be pleased with Jota and Oxlade-injuries. Chamberlain’s

Klopp provided an update on his situation following the game. Naturally, it’s really sad for us because Oxlade has been working out consistently well since the start of the preseason, he added.
“Obviously, when things grow more serious, something can happen, as it did with Ox in the past. This is only a muscular issue right now, and that’s fine. I’m fine with it because things have been worse.
“I have no idea how long it will take, but once he returns, everything will be OK. He is undoubtedly a top-tier athlete, and he can help us.
Since Oxlade-future Chamberlain’s at the club already appeared to be in doubt, he will be hoping that the hamstring injury is not too severe. Furthermore, it is unknown how much playing time he will receive at Liverpool next season; should he sustain an injury and miss the remainder of preseason, those already meager minutes could be significantly reduced.
Additionally, he is not the only one. By all accounts, Diogo Jota’s preseason workouts are likewise finished. The Portuguese forward, who was initially signed for £41 million two years ago, experienced a setback when working out in Asia after re-injuring his hamstring while representing his nation in the UEFA Nations League in June.
Jota won’t be returning after the Crystal Palace match, according to Klopp to face Manchester City in the community shield.
