Digest According to reports, Liverpool have made inquiries about signing a Brazilian striker, while two other teams are interested in another forward who has been connected to a transfer.

34m forward linked

Martin Terrier, a forward for Rennes, is currently the subject of strong interest from Leeds United and West Ham, with Liverpool reportedly also interested in the Frenchman.

Terrier, 25, has 30 goals in 71 games for Rennes and is worth €40 million (£34 million). Terrier has reportedly become a “priority” for numerous Premier League clubs, according to the French publication L’Equipe.

While West Ham needs additional attacking firepower and has been linked with nearly every striker in that price range, Leeds is looking to replace Raphinha, who transferred to Barcelona.

Liverpool was mentioned as a potential Sadio Mané replacement, but the Reds have already bought Luis Dáz and Darwin Néz, and it is unlikely that they will make any further moves in this transfer window.

However, if they are interested, they might need to act quickly.

Search for £59 million Brazilian

According to Football Insider, Liverpool has made a move to acquire Ajax attacker Antony, who the Dutch team reportedly values at £59 million.

Since Erik ten Hag wants to reconnect with his former star, the Brazilian forward has been linked with a move to Manchester United all summer. Meanwhile, Liverpool are not believed to be actively looking to add to their roster this season.

If Roberto Firmino leaves Liverpool in the summer, it might be wise for Liverpool to make a move for the attacker as a replacement (not like-for-like but in terms of another quality body).

But at the moment, Antony looks like a strange player for them to be considering.
