Liverpool about to unlock another top-class playmaker after intriguing Jürgen Klopp hint

Jürgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, is adamant that his team does not require a new midfielder in the offseason. He then provided a fascinating answer.
Many Liverpool players will be under pressure during the upcoming season, but none more so than Curtis Jones.
It may sound harsh to say so about a player who is only 21 years old, but with so much competition and the potential for Jude Bellingham or another high-profile addition to the Reds’ midfield area next summer, the time is now to go forward and establish some consistency.
Jones might easily spend his whole career at Liverpool as a squad player, but he is aware that his quality suggests that he has the potential to be more.
“Game after game or season after season is big,” he told Liverpool’s official website during the first couple of days of the pre-season tour in Thailand. “I’m ready now and I do think I have a bit of a point to pro
“[Last season] was up and down. There were games when I played and played well, got a couple of goals and a couple of assists. Of course, I want to add to that.
“But then I was injured with the eye for five-and-a-half weeks and then I came back and got COVID and then picked up a smaller knock as well. It was up and down but now I’m ready.”
There were moments last season where Jones looked like he was about to fully ignite, but for a variety of reasons, it never quite happened often enough.
Quite simply, the performance he put in for the Champions League game against Porto in Portugal last season needs to become a more regular thing.
Tellingly, one of Jones’ aims for the season was to ‘score and assist more goals’. Despite having been turned into a more defensively-minded midfielder by Jürgen Klopp over the past couple of years, his attacking instincts remain.
He was a risk-taking playmaker who was given freedom to roam when he was a member of Liverpool’s youth teams. He scored freely and was an exciting player.
In a team where there is almost no room for error next season, returning to those kinds of performances may be impossible. However, when speaking to reporters, his manager did give a hint that it might be in the works, as well as a reminder of the fierce competition for positions.
“Creativity? If we add a player specifically for that purpose, Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, and Fábio Carvalho will all experience an increase in difficulty “When asked about the absence of a midfield addition this summer, Klopp responded.
