Ajax to Manchester United move Lisandro Martinez, who has signed a deal through June 2027 with a one-year extension option.
The defender is a full-fledged Argentina international with 177 club games in his career.
He has received many awards, including two Eredivisie championships with Ajax and the 2021 Copa America with his nation.
At Carrington, Lisandro Martinez signs with the Reds.
“It’s an honor to join this fantastic football team,” Lisandro Martinez stated. I’ve put a lot of effort into getting to this point, and now that I’m here, I’m going to challenge myself even more.
“I’ve had the good fortune to play for winning clubs throughout my career, and I hope to do the same at Manchester United. It will take a lot of work to get there, but I am confident that we can do it with the help of my new teammates and manager, along with the coaches.
“I want to express my gratitude to Ajax and its supporters for all of their help. I had a fantastic experience there, but I believe the time is now to put myself to the test in a different setting. I’m in the ideal club right now to do this.
“Lisandro is a great player who will offer extra quality and experience to Erik [Ten Hagside,” ]’s stated John Murtough, director of football at Manchester United. We are happy that he decided to sign with Manchester United and we can’t wait to watch him grow as a player and contribute to the team’s success.
