Leeds trio posed to leave for £110m, conditional on one factor, amid stark promotion warning.

If Leeds United wants to guarantee their automatic promotion from the Championship, they need to return to winning ways against Middlesbrough on Monday night. After losing their last five games and failing to take advantage of other teams’ mistakes, Daniel Farke’s team now has to catch up to Leicester City and Ipswich Town.

With just three games remaining, Leeds has to win at Middlesbrough on Monday night in order to move into the top two. The YEP has compiled some of the most recent news to come out of Elland Road while the Whites wrap up their preparations this weekend.

Triple exit tipped

If Leeds doesn’t get promoted this season, they might have to let go of three important players. Premier League teams are reportedly interested in selling Crysencio Summerville, Wilfried Gnonto, and Archie Gray, according to Football Insider.

After trying to push a move away from Leeds and receiving a £30 million approach from Everton last summer, Gnonto withdrew his transfer request and buckled down. This season, Summerville and Gray have outperformed the Italian, and both are being watched by Champions League teams.

Leeds is still optimistic that they can retain every player if they do advance, although another Championship season may necessitate sales. Both Summerville and Gray are estimated to be wealthy at least £40 million.

Promotion warning

Don Goodman thinks Leeds, coming off a very lucky 2-1 victory against West Brom on Saturday, needs to have a flawless season finale if they want to catch Leicester. The Foxes’ Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy scored goals, but before Jed Wallace’s late rescue attempt, their opponents squandered an absurd amount of opportunities.

With three games left, Enzo Maresca’s team is now four points ahead of Leeds and at the top of the league. Goodman has pointed out the challenges that Farke’s team now faces. He stated: “Leeds United cannot put a foot wrong now if they want to catch Leicester City.”

Leeds can move up to the top two when they play at Middlesbrough on Monday. If they win at QPR as well, they could even go four points ahead of Ipswich Town, albeit the Tractor Boys would still have two games remaining.
