Jürgen Klopp may soon be able to test out an exciting Thiago Alcântara replacement

Due to the injury to his replacements and the anticipated six-week absence of Thiago Alcântara, Jürgen Klopp may seek to an odd substitute.
The most recent injury setback for thiago Alcantara has worried a number of Liverpool fans. The smooth Spanish player is expected to miss six weeks or more after pulling up against Fulham on the first day of the season at Craven Cottage.
Thiago is most likely going to miss the matches against Crystal Palace, Manchester United, bournemouth, Newcastle, Everton, Wolves, and possibly Chelsea. That’s a lot of games.
Given his rarity as a player, his absence will undoubtedly be a devastating loss to Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp. but the most important query is: who could step in for Thiago at the center of the midfield?
Jones is out with a calf injury and Oxlade-Chamberlain has been sidelined with a preseason hamstring injury of his own. Both players are expected to return to training this week.
There aren’t many middle-ground options available in their absence for Klopp. However, one option might be to move a current team member to the middle of the field.
Given that Harvey Elliott played in midfield at the start of last season before suffering a horrible injury at Leeds, he might have a chance. The most secure choice would probably be Elliott, who could continue to play in the same spot on the right of the midfield three that he did the previous year.
Fábio Carvalho, a recent addition, might be used a little further back as yet another option.
Carvalho was utilized in a more advanced position than Thiago would typically play during Liverpool’s preseason training friendlies and showed tremendous promise. During the games, Carvalho mostly played as a No. 8 or a 10, gliding between the lines and assisting in play development.
There is no reason to think he couldn’t, if need, be used a little further back. Carvalho would need some time to get used to the role, but he is technically capable of standing in for Thiago for the time being.
Carvalho played nine times in center midfield for Fulham last season, so even though the Championship’s quality is nowhere near that of the Premier League, he is at least accustomed to the position.
Carvalho may be tasked with preserving Liverpool’s possession and transferring the ball to more advanced areas alongside Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.
It may be the ideal opportunity for Klopp to try Carvalho in midfield with the upcoming match at home against Crystal Palace, a team that will probably sit back and try to soak up pressure.
Elliott will probably get the nod because of his track record in the position, but Klopp may want to consider giving Carvalho a shot as a backup option in case Thiago gets hurt again in the future.
