Confirmed – Joe Gomez signs new 5 years deal with Liverpool FC

By signing a new, lengthy contract this summer—the third extension—Joe Gomez has put an end to rumors about his future at Liverpool.
When preseason training resumed on Monday, Gomez and his representatives sat down to speak with the team. The two sides made quick progress.
Because of this, the 25-year-old has agreed to a new five-year contract that will keep him at Anfield until he turns 30 in 2027.
This summer, Liverpool renewed the contracts of James Milner and Mohamed Salah, and Gomez is probably not the last to do so.
The news of Gomez’s agreement follows rumors of a potential transfer, with Aston Villa and Newcastle among the clubs mentioned.
Now that Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip are also battling for a regular role alongside Virgil van Dijk in Jurgen Klopp’s defense, he can relaunch his challenge for a first-choice starting spot there.

Gomez, who joined the Reds from Charlton as an 18-year-old in 2015, has already spent seven seasons with the team and is now expected to remain for at least ten more.
over ten years.
The English defender has already made 142 appearances for the club, excelling at both center-back and right-back despite injuries marring his stay on Merseyside.
With a solid core of center-halves in place, Klopp is anticipated to give his No. 12 more opportunities in the upcoming season.
Gomez is one of Liverpool’s better recent budget purchases, and there is still a lot of room for him to grow after being signed for for £3.5 million.
