Jurgen Klopp gives liverpool Injury updates hours before Fulham season opener on Alisson, Jones, Konate, Tsimikas.

Before Liverpool’s Premier League opener at Fulham on Saturday, Jürgen Klopp provided an update on the health of numerous players of his team, but he also stated that Alisson Becker is now fully fit.

The goalkeeper returned to full training this week after missing the Community Shield triumph over Manchester City last weekend due to injury.

At Craven Cottage, though, the Reds will be without Curtis Jone, Kostas Tsimikas, and Ibrahima Konate, and Naby Keita will be evaluated after becoming ill.

Ali [is] fine,” said Klopp at the news conference prior to the game. Because that’s how it is with young players, we hope that with Curtis, we captured it at the perfect time. They occasionally experience some sort of stress reaction, and if they push through it despite the fact that there isn’t much pain, it could have catastrophic consequences.

We detected it early, but caution is still required. He is not in because that is it with him.

“Naby is sick, but I believe he will return today. I slightly overestimated it when I asserted that he will be alright. He arrived yesterday and continued to exhibit a few minor symptoms; he had no COVID, but it was wrong. I assume he’ll return today.

Then Kostas suffered bad luck during a training scenario. The fact that he was on the field when I saw him suggests that, at least in his estimation, he might be prepared to train the following week. We need to wait and see how long Ibou will be out after what happened in a challenge during the game against Strasbourg. Oxlade is obviously also out.

Diogo Jota and Caoimhin Kelleher will also not be traveling with Liverpool to London because they are still undergoing treatment for injuries they acquired over the summer.

Reporters questioned Klopp about the possibility of the Reds team entering the transfer market given the squad’s present state of fitness.

The manager answered: “There are still a few weeks until [Kelleher].

“It’s true that we have too many injuries, but at the time, nothing had changed. Numerous unfortunate events occurred; they essentially began with Caoimhin and Diogo. It was not entirely obvious which one was hurt and which one sustained a second injury.

“There’s no criticism since you made a big deal out of what I said, but it’s true that both of them played for their national teams and he is with the national squad. There is a diagnosis, we receive the diagnosis, and we believe the diagnosis; this is very normal, but you are not always going through the entire process. We attempt to intervene as soon as possible before the national team takes over.

“Diogo Evidently, it was either a little too soon or the damage wasn’t what it seemed. They are already doing well and will return in a few weeks.

However, Klopp continued, “We cannot solve an issue we have for four weeks with a transfer for a whole year, it makes, in the moment at least, no sense for us. These kinds of things are not cool. However, the transfer window is still open, so things may change. However, that is not how the plans are set up.
