As previously reported by Hull Live, Briscoe will return to the MKM Stadium on an initial season-long loan in a swap deal with McIntosh.

According to the Yorkshire Post, Chamberlain is also on the verge of signing a short-term contract with Hull City at a time when the club is undergoing significant transition.

Since joining Leigh prior to the 2022 season, the outside back has scored 21 tries in 52 games.

Chamberlain counts Widnes Vikings and Salford Red Devils among his former clubs.

The 28-year-old, who has played in two World Cups for Ireland, will be joined at the MKM Stadium by Leopards teammate Briscoe, a former Hull favourite.

Briscoe scored 90 tries in 147 games for the Black and Whites between 2008 and 2013, followed by a successful stint with the Leeds Rhinos.

Both players could be signed in time for Sunday’s home game against Briscoe’s former club, Leeds.

McIntosh turns around to leave Hull after two and a half years.

The former Huddersfield Giants winger joined the Black and Whites in 2022 and has scored 23 tries in 53 games.

McIntosh will become the latest Hull player to depart, following the departures of Nu Brown and Tex Hoy as part of the club’s early restructuring in 2024.

Richie Myler was appointed Hull’s rugby director last week and has been charged with selecting Tony Smith’s replacement after the club’s terrible start this season.

Salford head coach Paul Rowley is allegedly the club’s top objective.
