The 31-year-old Dutchman left Liverpool on a free transfer after his contract expired last summer, and even though he was heavily favored to sign with Barcelona, he ultimately chose PSG. Wijnaldum, who won the Champions League and Premier League when playing for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, has struggled at Parc des Princes, making just 18 league starts and an additional 13 appearances as a substitute.

Additionally, the Netherlands international can be involved in a swap deal with Juventus, claims Italian publication Calcio Mercato Web. According to the rumor, PSG wants to send Wijnaldum in the opposite direction while bringing Adrien Rabiot back from Turin. Before moving to Serie A, Rabiot was a well-liked character in Paris, where he made 227 appearances and won five Ligue 1 championships. The 27-year-old is content to end his time in Italy as PSG appears to want to lure him back as he enters the final year of his contract.

According to the Italian publication Calcio Mercato Web, the Netherlands international may also be included in a swap deal with Juventus. The rumor states that PSG intends to send Adrien Rabiot back from Turin while sending Wijnaldum in the opposite route. Rabiot was well-liked in Paris before leaving to Serie A, where he made 227 appearances and won five Ligue 1 championships. The 27-year-old is content to end his time in Italy despite PSG’s apparent attempts to entice him back as his contract reaches its final year.
