Fulham Eyes Chelsea Defender: Reviving Transfer Interest

Fulham are allegedly considering reviving their interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Since his debut for Chelsea in August 2021, the centre-back has made 72 competitive appearances.

He has only played nine games this season, having missed the first half due to injury.

Chalobah returned to action in February, coming on as a substitute in a 1-1 draw away to Manchester City.

Despite starting four of the last six league games, Chalobah is anticipated to be sold in the summer transfer window.

The Chelsea board appears to be eager to sell the academy product to create pure profit and alleviate any concerns about the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations.

With Chalobah going for the exit, TEAMtalk reports that Fulham are willing to continue their chase of the 24-year-old.

The Cottagers are one of several clubs displaying interest in the defender, who was linked with a move in the January transfer window.

According to the article, Fulham could face stiff competition from Napoli, Roma, Bayern Munich, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest.

Chalobah is believed to prefer a move to the Cottagers due to his family’s positive association with the club, as his brother, Nathaniel Chalobah, spent 18 months as a Fulham player before leaving in January 2023.

Fulham identify Chalobah as Adarabioyo replacement

Fulham appear to have identified Chalobah as a potential replacement for Tosin Adarabioyo, who has an uncertain future at Craven Cottage.

The centre-back’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he has yet to agree to a new Fulham term.

As it stands, Adarabioyo will be available on a free transfer this summer, attracting attention from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Newcastle United were recently linked with the 26-year-old, and Liverpool, West Ham United, and AC Milan have all been mentioned as prospective suitors.

In addition to Chalobah, Fulham are thought to be interested in Union Berlin defender Danilho Doekhi.
