Four Norwich City players eager for summer exit from Carrow Road.

Norwich City will be looking for a good finish to the season as they seek promotion from the Championship.

The Canaries are now battling for a position in the Championship play-offs, and if they can earn a top-six slot, they will have a shot at promotion to the Premier League.

Whether or not they are able to secure a position in the top tier of English football will have a significant impact on what occurs at Carrow Road during the summer transfer window.

There is an obvious benefit to being able to bring in a higher grade of player, and possibly more of them, because to the increased opportunity for investment promotion.

However, it could have an impact on prospective exits, since other players may or may not be looking to transfer depending on which division they are in next season.

So, with that in mind, we’ve taken a look at four current Norwich City players who could be looking for a move this summer, especially if they stay in the Championship.

Josh Sargent

Josh Sargent has had a tough season, missing big chunks of the campaign due to injury but yet producing some brilliant goalscoring performances.

The American international has 15 league goals in 23 Championship appearances this season, and if he had been fit throughout the season, Norwich could have finished considerably higher. Last summer, reports suggested that Leeds United, who are also chasing promotion to the Premier League, were interested in the striker.

Given his form this season, it would not be surprising if interest in Sargent resurfaced this summer, and given his success this season, there may be arguments that even higher-profile interest has emerged. If this is the case, the 24-year-old may find the opportunity to advance to the next level enticing.

Jonathan Rowe

Jonathan Rowe, another Norwich City player, has had an outstanding season thus far.

The attacker has scored 12 goals and contributed two assists in 29 league games for the Canaries, and as a result, several Premier League clubs have expressed interest in the 20-year-old.

That is unlikely to have gone unnoticed by Rowe, and if the Canaries do not earn promotion to the top tier, the option to do so with another club may be too appealing for the attacker to pass up.

Danny Batth

Danny Batth only joined Norwich this season, coming from Championship rivals Sunderland, but the centre back has had a difficult season at Carrow Road.

The 33-year-old has had limited game time this season, with only 15 league appearances, five of which have been as a starter, despite several appeals for him to be given more opportunity in the side.

With those not forthcoming, Batth may be looking for an escape in the summer, when his contract at Carrow Road expires.

Daniel Barden

At 23 years old, Barden is at the point in his career where he wants to start playing regular first-team football in order to advance as a player.

However, the Norwich City goalkeeper has yet to make a professional appearance for the team this season.

As a result, he may believe that a move elsewhere would help him personally, and with his contract at Carrow Road about to end in the summer, this could be something he considers in the coming months.
