Following Everton, Jurgen Klopp discusses his favorite thing about Mohamed Salah as Liverpool provides an injury update.

Jurgen Klopp spoke of a “very important” cover-up after Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Everton at Anfield. He also paid tribute to his team’s match winner Mohamed Sal

Jurgen Klopp insisted Liverpool avoided further injury problems in their Merseyside derby win against Everton – and explained what he likes best about match-winner Mohamed Salah.
Andy Robertson joined the club’s injury list in midweek after dislocating his shoulder on international duty, after which it was confirmed he had been handed a three-month layoff. Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara remain sidelined with long-term injuries, while Cody Gakpo was out of danger against the Blues despite returning to squad training in midweek following a knee injury.

Liverpool’s win over Everton temporarily lifted them to the top of the table and back to winning ways in the Premier League after a controversial defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and a 2-2 draw at Brighton before the international break. And Klopp was delighted with the win before turning his attention to Thursday’s Europa League clash with Toulouse.

“I want to answer things, but you have to have a reason to answer,” said the Red Chief. “You should be able to remember what you have to answer. And two weeks after Brighton there were players from all over the world.

It doesn’t make sense. “I’m not happy to get back on the road or anything, I’m happy we won the game. Yeah, 20 points, that’s what we wanted and now we’ve got it. It’s just amazing.

“Now on Thursday a different competition, also very important. Another home game. Amazing and that’s it. This is the situation. Where the guys are from, I’m very pleased with the show.
“I liked it and I don’t think I heard anything else, we got along without hiccups. Very important, so everything is fine. ”

Meanwhile, Klopp also praised Salah when he scored his 200th career league goal against Everton. Although he admitted that the Egyptian was not at his best in the derby, the German has no doubt that the striker will always step up and deliver in front of goal.

“For me, the thing I like the most is that I think Mo Salah has played an incredible amount of amazing games for us,” he said. “It wasn’t his best game today, but when it was a clinical penalty and the situation he was in, that’s probably his greatest quality.
“You need someone to hit the ball over the line and he was that again. I couldn’t respect that fact more. It is absolutely brilliant.

“The numbers are crazy. He never quits, he never quits. That’s his nature and that’s really cool for us.”
