Farke confirms 3 players will miss Saturday’s game against Southampton.

Daniel Farke has provided an injury report for a number of first-team players ahead of Leeds United’s game against Southampton on Saturday.

Farke has previously acknowledged that a late judgment will have to be made on Patrick Bamford’s fitness, but he was one of five players missing at Queens Park Rangers last week.

The Whites were defeated 4-0 in the capital that night, and their automatic promotion aspirations are all but dashed as we approach the last day.

To finish in the top two, Leeds must defeat Southampton and hope that Ipswich Town be defeated at home by a relegated Huddersfield Town team.

With the play-offs looking increasingly possible, Farke may be tempted to make changes to his starting lineup, but Ben Parker argues he can’t risk rotating too much.

Farke shares update on Stuart Dallas, Pascal Struijk, Dan James and Connor Roberts

In addition to Bamford, Leeds were without Pascal Struijk, Dan James, Connor Roberts, and Stuart Dallas in their most recent game.

Dallas, who has declared that he would retire at the conclusion of the season, and Struijk, of course, are already out for the season.

Roberts, however, experienced a recurrence of an injury he sustained while on international duty with Wales against Blackburn Rovers, forcing him to miss the last two games. James was AWOL from QPR following his injury at Middlesbrough.

Farke did not have much of a positive report to share in his pre-match press conference, with Struijk, Dallas, and James all out and Roberts unable to start the match.

He said: “Dallas, Struijk, also James will definitely miss the game. Big question behind Roberts, first day today involved in parts of team training, definitely not 90 minutes.”
