Despite making significant changes to the starting eleven, Liverpool managed to win the first leg 5-1 and will be reasonably confident of producing another successful outcome when they host Sparta Prague to Anfield on Thursday evening.

Due to ACL damage, Joel Matip will be sidelined for the duration of the campaign.

Following his hamstring injury, Alisson Becker is scheduled to make a comeback next month. Diogo Jota, on the other hand, is anticipated to return following an MCL injury.

After the international break, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, and Ryan Gravenberch are anticipated to make a comeback.

Due to a thigh injury, Thiago Alcantara will miss the rest of the season.Although they are back in training, Stefan Bajcetic and Ibrahima Konate won’t likely be risked for this match.

Although Mohamed Salah is healthy enough to start the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated as much in his pregame press conference.

It is unclear, though, if the German boss will let Salah get some playing time before the showdown against Manchester United this weekend.

Klopp declared, “He’s prepared. We no longer have to deal with these kinds of issues, he is in excellent shape, and everything is well. He’s ready to begin, so that’s how it is. I’m not sure whether he is ready for 90 minutes, and I’m not convinced we should do 90 minutes.

Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, is anticipated to start the game.

The Reds want to field a largely rotated team, with Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez, Jarrell Quansah, and Kostas Tsimikas forming a back four.

Wataru Endo will play as the defensive midfielder in the midfield, tasked with stopping the opposition’s assaults and defending the defensive unit.

Alongside him at the beginning will be Bobby Clark and James McConnell, who will try to infuse the team with more imagination and control. The line will be led by Cody Gakpo, with Harvey Elliott and Lewis Koumas in the wide spots.
