Everton wants to sign midfielder who is out of contract in June

According to Tutto Juve, Everton wants to sign Leicester City midfielder this summer when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

The news agency reports on their website (18 April) that several teams, including the Toffees, are showing interest in signing the Nigerian international, who is expected to be available on a free transfer.

In addition, it is said that Getafe, Fenerbahce, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Sevilla, Getafe, and Juventus are interested in the 27-year-old defensive midfielder, who has played in 192 games for England’s top division.

Given the club’s financial predicament, the summer transfer window at Goodison Park is expected to be quite chaotic, with multiple departures anticipated.

Numerous senior players, including Senegal international Idrissa Gueye, who plays a similar position and style to Ndidi, have contracts expiring at the end of the current campaign.

In contrast to Ndidi, who has been a vital part of Leicester’s push for promotion in the Championship and is obviously prepared to return to the Premier League, Gueye is also significantly older and his performances have declined this season.

Ndidi would be the ideal signing for Everton to pursue as they embark on this new chapter, if they can avoid relegation, which will be extremely difficult as things are.

It would improve the team and provide Dyche with a solid foundation from which to rebuild, since there would be no transfer fees involved and the wages were relatively low coming from the Championship.
