In-depth discussions with Ten Hag were held on Tuesday at the club’s Carrington practice facility by Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes. The manager of United had hoped to convince the striker to reconsider, but he is still set on leaving for a Champions League team.

Man United’s position hasn’t altered; while they’d contemplate letting Ronaldo go on loan for the season, they have no plans to let the striker go permanently.
