Erik ten Hag might be prepared to have complete faith in Cristiano Ronaldo to perform in 2022–2023.

Only Erek Hag genuinely knows who will start for Manchester United in that lineup next season, and even then, the team will still need to honor that selection.

We can assess the circumstances and are reasonably convinced that Cristiano Ronaldo will start the season as the line leader.

Erik ten Hag’s previous laudatory remarks regarding Ronaldo and United’s transfer market plan are the two main causes of this.

United can focus its transfer efforts elsewhere thanks to Ronaldo’s presence and skills, which should begin to materialize in the coming weeks.

Speaking in the Netherlands and at his news conference, Erik ten Hag has already expressed his unwavering confidence in Cristiano Ronaldo. Last month, Ten Hag told Dutch publication AD: “I am looking forward to working with Ronaldo. In what he has demonstrated, he is a giant. And I believe he still has a lot of ambition. Naturally, I want to keep him.

During his press conference, the new Manchester United manager was questioned about Ronaldo. He responded quickly when asked what he expected from the superstar, saying, “Goals,” before responding, “Of course,” when asked if he was a part of his plans.

It might have seemed strange to spend £80 million on Darwin Nunez after having complete faith in Cristiano Ronaldo. United reneged on that transfer agreement.

It looks that United’s offensive strategy is slightly different, supporting Ronaldo rather than trying to take his place.

The winger is anticipated to receive priority after a midfielder is signed, and Antony is a “major summer target.”

Ronaldo finished the 2017–18 season as the club’s leading scorer by a wide margin with 24 goals. He was also selected for the PFA Team of the Year for the Premier League.

Even with a bad squad, he is still capable of delivering memorable moments. Around the seasoned superstar, Ten Hag intends to assemble a more cohesive and organized team.

United may still recruit a striker, but it would probably be a younger player who would serve as a backup rather than a new superstar who would probably be extremely inexpensive.

Although long-term the Red Devils need a solution up front, the Manchester United manager appears to have a lot of faith in Ronaldo’s ability to still deliver the goods, and the #7 might be ready to lead the line once more in 2022–23.
