‘Don’t challenge Nunez to race!’ – Oxlade-Chamberlain warns Premier League players

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who acknowledged that he would not advise challenging the Uruguayan international to a race, said Darwin Nunez’s athletic pace and technique will be a tremendous asset to Liverpool.
The outstanding signing of Jurgen Klopp’s summer at Anfield is the attacking midfielder who cost Benfica £64 million ($79 million).
Nunez is already being compared to Luis Suarez, another former Liverpool favorite, and Oxlade-Chamberlain believes he will be essential to the Reds’ chances this season.
The signing of Nunez is Liverpool’s summer’s marquee transaction, unless you add the announcement that Mohamed Salah will stay on Merseyside after signing a contract extension following Sadio Mane’s transfer to Bayern Munich.
But given that Manchester City, Liverpool’s main competitor, has made its own hiring push that includes attacker Erling Haaland and midfielder Kalvin Phillips, he will have a difficult time leading Liverpool to victory.
However, Klopp’s team will have every confidence that their new acquisition can live up to his price tag. After coming agonizingly close to winning a second Champions League title under the German last season, the Reds will be ready to take the lead once more this year.
