Cristino Ronaldo announces return back to Manchester United squad.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who has made it obvious to those at the top of United’s hierarchy that he wants to leave the club, has been the focus of intense rumors during this transfer window.

Ronaldo did not report to the club for preseason after he submitted a transfer request and stated “family considerations” as the justification.

But now that he has finally returned and said he is prepared to play, United will face Rayo Vallecano in their final exhibition game before the new Premier League season begin.

As an alternative to Frenkie de Jong, who appears destined to remain at Barcelona, United is rumored to have switched its focus to Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Unfortunately for United, they may also miss out on the Serbian international since the Serie A club is holding out for an additional £20 million despite their first offer of £42 million.

This is not the first time United has expressed interest in Lazio fan favorite Milinkovic-Savic; the self-described “Special One” also admired him while in charge at Old Trafford.
