Ronaldo arrived around 11 a.m. with agent Jorge Mendes to plan his summer exit.
And, according to The Star, Ferguson attempted to encourage Ronaldo to stay for the final year of his contract while he was present at a board meeting with other United executives.
Even he, however, was unable to persuade the 37-year-old to spend the final seasons of his legendary career in the Champions League.
