The Italian news source Corriere dello Sport, cited by Paisley Gates, claims that Chelsea will beat Liverpool to the signing of De Ligt this summer.
Liverpool has been mentioned in recent rumors as a potential suitor for the Juventus center-back, who is estimated to be worth around £85 million.
According to the most recent report, Chelsea has already submitted a bid worth £67.5 million plus bonuses, and Bayern Munich is also rumored to be in the running and making a bid of up to £63.5 million.
