Chelsea move to break Liverpool hearts as Todd Boehly lines up blockbuster move for Reds favourite amid great opportunity
Chelsea could break the hearts of Liverpool fans by signing one of Jurgen Klopp’s famous three this summer, according to a sensational report.
Klopp will only be able to field Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino next season as the latter prepares to leave Anfield. His contract expires in June so he can look for a new club on a free transfer.
Mane has already left Liverpool after joining Bayern Munich in a £35m move last summer.
Liverpool fans will have been deeply saddened that Mane left after all he achieved on Merseyside and the same goes for Firmino.
But at least the Reds participants will be able to enjoy Salah’s performances for a few more years. His contract runs until the summer of 2025 and he shows no signs of wanting to leave Liverpool.
Moreover, the far right remains a major threat. He has registered 27 goals and 11 assists in 44 games this season in all competitions.
But Salah could face Mane in the Premier League Golden Boot race next season. According to Football Insider, Chelsea have shown a shocking interest in the Bayern man.
Chelsea need a new centre-forward to lead their attack next season. They are interested in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen but will struggle to sign him without breaking the rules of financial fair play after spending so much money in the last two transfer windows.
Chelsea linked to shock dive Bayern
Future new Telegraph manager Mauricio Pochettino will offer Romelu Lukaku a lifeline, helping him get his Chelsea career back on track next season. But instead, Football Insider discussed the possibility of Mane going to Stamford Bridge.
Mane is apparently in Todd Boehly’s sights as the Chelsea chairman looks to add goals to the squad.
Although the Senegalese has recently joined Bayern, they will be hearing offers for him in the summer after meeting team-mate Leroy Sane.
Mane wants to put that incident behind him and focus on becoming a success at the Allianz Arena. But Bayern’s managers simply can’t ignore him and are hoping to get rid of him, with Chelsea as a possible target.
Liverpool fans would be upset if Mane represented one of their ‘big six’ Premier League rivals. He became a hero at Anfield due to his brilliant goal scoring ability, his excellent play with Salah and Firmino and his tireless running.
There are rumors that Mane could return to Liverpool as he has apparently been telling friends that he misses the club. Former Reds defender Kolo Toure has admitted Klopp lacks Mane’s “big personality”, although he urged the German to put his faith in new forwards Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez.
“I think he will stick with them [Gakpo and Nunez]. He needs to give them time to show they are capable to fit to the Liverpool team,” Toure said. “As a player, you have to do your best to show you are capable of performing for them. If you don’t, it’s going to be the next one [player].
“Jurgen is a great manager; he’s doing a great job. I think he’s trying to find players who are going to have the chemistry to keep the team fighting for the title.”

Arthur Melo earns Liverpool praise as Reds eye Samuel Chukwueze transfer
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have won back-to-back games for the first time in almost two months and are aiming for a third successive win away to West Ham.
Liverpool can move closer to the Champions League on Wednesday with a win over West Ham.
The Reds secured a second successive victory by beating Nottingham Forest in a five-goal thriller at Anfield, but will be looking to get three more points when they travel to the London Stadium next time out.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently seventh, nine points behind fourth-placed Manchester United and can close the gap with a win over West Ham before United make the journey to Tottenham.
It looks set to be an entertaining season finale, especially in the top four race, as several teams battle to finish in the European spots, with Brighton and Newcastle also firmly in the mix.
So, with that in mind, here’s the latest news out of Liverpool. Arthur praised by England manager
Arthur is praised by his English teacher after the progress he has made during his time at Liverpool.
The Brazilian joined the Reds from Juventus last summer and has since learned the new language as he integrates into the country. Arthur was taught by language teacher Sara Duque, who previously helped teach at Tottenham’s Richarlison.
Sharing Arthur’s progress with his 196,000 Instagram followers, Duque said: “I couldn’t be more proud of the incredible progress my student @Arthurhmelo has made in the last 3 months. When we started he spoke no English at all and it’s amazing to see how far he has come in such a short time due to his dedication and hard work. “We have raised the bar for ourselves and Arthur has risen to the challenge with admirable determination. Obviously there is still a long way to go, but we are ambitious and committed to continuing our work to achieve our goals.”
“Arthur’s progress is a testament to the power of effort and perseverance, and I’m honored to be a part of his linguistic journey. Congratulations Arthur, you are a true inspiration to many footballers.”
Liverpool eye Chukwueze
Liverpool are looking to transfer Villarreal star Samuel Chukwueze in the summer.
Jurgen Klopp could be set for a reshuffle in his Reds squad at the end of the season – and a right winger could very well be on his agenda to back up Mohamed Salah. Citing reports in Spain, the Liverpool Echo say the Reds are looking to rival Real Madrid over the signing of Chukwueze this summer. The Nigerian ace has scored 13 times in 41 appearances this season.
Chukwueze, 23, has many admirers and Liverpool may have to fight to sign him. Alberto Moreno is a big fan of the winger and has admitted that he reminds him of Sadio Manè.
“He’s super bold, fast; you never know where he’s going,” Moreno told Marca. “He’s also strong, young and defined. He looks a lot like Sadio Mane. I’ve seen the two in training and they are very similar.
“He still has a lot to learn because he is very young, but he will become an even better player than he is [now]”.

Antonio’s warning to Liverpool
Mikhail Antonio believes West Ham are confident and “lively” ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool on Wednesday.
The Hammers recorded a 4-0 win over Bournemouth this weekend thanks to goals from Antonio, Lucas Paqueta, Declan Rice and Pablo Fornals. It was a result that took them six points clear of the bottom three and Antonio is impressed with West Ham’s recent performance as they prepare to face Liverpool at the London Stadium.
He said: “It’s clicked overall and has been since the start of the year. We weren’t the top in the standings before. It’s been a long and tough season so it’s calmed the guys down.”
“It distracts us from the crowd and gives a cushion to relegation contenders. It’s a good turnaround for the week and we are keeping the momentum going as we are clearly looking to win the cup now.
“This final month of the season with the semi-finals could be incredible, I think another win will secure the Premier League for next year. We are buzzing.”
Declan Rice added: ” The benchmark is 40 points, so it’s important that we don’t get too comfortable. Then there’s Liverpool and we enjoy evenings like that.”
