Chelsea
Chelsea alerts Barcelona of an impending bid for the United target De Jong.

Manchester United will face competition in their ongoing summer transfer chase of the Barcelona midfielder as a result.
Along with Erik ten Hag’s interest at Old Trafford and De Jong’s desire to remain at Barcelona, it appears that Chelsea wants to put De Jong to the test.
According to Sport, Chelsea notified Barcelona this morning that they would like to try to sign De Jong and that a bid from the Stamford Bridge club is soon to come.
Barcelona and United already have a deal in place, but the next challenge is persuading De Jong, who is eagerly awaiting the €17 million in back pay he has been owed since the coronavirus outbreak.
Thomas Tuchel already has a strong midfield but signing De Jong could help Chelsea prepare for N’Golo Kante’s exit.
At United, I think he would be our main outlet in midfield.
Fingers crossed De Jong signs for us! I really want to see him in the same midfield as Christian Eriksen next season.
Xavi admitted that his midfield star could leave the club this summer following their pre-season win over New York Red Bulls last night.
