Celtic clinched their third Scottish Premiership league title in style, defeating Kilmarnock 5-0 at Rugby Park.

Goalscorer Adam Idah was pleased with his performance on the night, but emphasized that his and his teammates’ success is always a collaborative effort.

The 23-year-old scored in Ayrshire within the first five minutes of the game, as Celtic dominated from start to finish.

Daizen Maeda doubled his team’s lead after 13 minutes, and James Forrest extended it to three with 10 minutes left in the opening period.

Brendan Rodgers’ side attacked with the same determination after the half, before the club’s own Player of the Year – as well as Players’ and Young Player of the Year – scored twice between the 51st and 71st minutes.

Speaking to Sky Sports on the pitch in front of a joyous travelling crowd, a nearly speechless Idah said: “It’s hard to put into words, the celebrations are wonderful. Achieving this is a terrific feeling.

“As I stated when I joined here in January, I want to help the club and score as many goals as I can. I’m overjoyed to get the win and help the squad win the championship.”

When asked if he thought on the importance of his own goals after arriving on loan for Celtic in January, the Irish striker replied, “They’re all important goals; I think every goal I’ve scored has been important, as have everyone else’s.”
